hwaja Azizul Hasan Ghouri "Majzoob" (1884–1944) was an Urdu poet and Sufi, born in Orai. Educated at Aligarh, he served as an inspector of schools, and became a close disciple and khalifa of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi, whose biography (Ashraf-us-Sawaneh) he wrote. His collected poetry, Kashkol-e-Majzoob, joins the classical ghazal with the longing of the mystic: love, loss and surrender, in simple, moving Urdu.
