Ghazal
Use Hal-o-qal Se Vasta Na Gharaz Maqam-o-qayam Se
This ghazal captures the transcendent and detached state of profound love, where the lover loses all concern for worldly affairs and designated stations due to an intense connection with the beloved's dazzling beauty. It portrays the bittersweet consolation derived from the beloved's messages and their alternating play of unveiling and concealment.

They care not for ecstatic states or mystic speech, nor heed any station or resting place, who share a secret kinship with your beauty's lightning-swift grace.
One who holds a special connection with your lightning-swift beauty has no concern with spiritual states or mystical debates, nor any interest in spiritual stations or halts.

They offer me solace and hope with every message anew, now stepping into the public gaze, now slipping away from view.
They keep consoling me with every new message, sometimes by appearing in full public view and sometimes by slipping away from it.
3
Why did one brave each looming threat that challenged every step and pace, / From longing's half-completed path to love's consummate, exalted place?
Why did one keep confronting dangers at every step of the journey, from the half-finished path of desire to the very pinnacle of complete love?
4
No concern have I, nor ties with any soul—I mind only my own affair: with speaking of you, thinking of you, remembering you, and invoking your name.
I have no concern or connection with anyone else; I mind only my own affair, which consists solely of speaking of you, thinking of you, remembering you, and taking your name.
5
O my cupbearer, my cupbearer, hail to thee, all hail to thee! Keep pouring the wine, keep pouring on, from these eyes brimming like cup upon cup.
O my cupbearer, praise and welcome to you! Keep serving me wine continuously from those eyes of yours that are like overflowing cups.
6
What great marvel is your morning of bliss? O Heavens, if you have the courage, come compete against the dark evening of separation from the beloved.
O sky, what great thing is your morning of joy? If you dare, come and face the dark evening of grief brought by separation from the beloved.
7
Do not crush me thus into the dust, though I be merely your footprint; the eternity of your radiant splendor endures through my passion that calls your name.
Do not reduce me to dust like this, even though I am merely your footprint. The eternal survival of your glory is sustained by my devoted passion that invokes you name by name.
8
What can I say of your intoxicated eyes, where every glance weaves pure enchantment? All this reason and all this madness spring from this single turning of the cup.
What can I say about your intoxicating eyes, when every single glance of yours is sheer magic; all of this consciousness and all of this madness arise from this single turn of the wine-cup.
9
These are sacred verses from the book of the heart; how can I convey the ties that bind my eternal prostrations to the footprints of your graceful stride?
How can I explain the deep connection that my perpetual prostrations share with the footprints of your graceful walk; these are like sacred verses from the book of my heart.
10
I crave that very wine, O Cupbearer, that pours down and brims over / From the flask held in your graceful hand, from your eyes like cups filled with wine.
O cupbearer, I desire only that wine which pours down and overflows from your hand holding the flask, and from your eyes that are like cups filled with wine.
11
Let the pain surge if it will, why ever complain to one, who shuns the mention of beauty, and abhors the very name of love?
If pain has arisen, let it rise; why would anyone complain to someone who is averse to the mention of beauty and irritated by the very name of love?
12
Right there the houri's eye fluttered, intoxicated before taking a single sip; when suddenly a drop spilled over from an ecstatic reveller's cup.
Whenever wine suddenly spilled from the cup of an ecstatic reveller, the houri's eye twitched on the spot and she became intoxicated without even taking a drink.
13
Though you offer a thousand excuses, O Jigar, my jealousy is stirred by something else entirely: by the restlessness of your roving eyes, and the guarded caution of your speech.
You may offer a thousand excuses, but O Jigar, I suspect something else entirely, judging by the restlessness in your eyes and the guarded caution in your speech.
