hah Turab Ali Qalandar (1767–1858) was a Sufi master of the Qalandari order and the head of the khanqah at Kakori, near Lucknow. A poet in Persian, Urdu and Braj, he moved easily between traditions: his Urdu ghazals speak of the Beloved and of losing the self, and his Braj verses (Amrit Ras) sing of Krishna in the language of Sufi love. His divan is one of the treasures of Awadh’s Sufi poetry.
