Ghazal
This ghazal describes the intoxicating effect of love, stating that Laila's conscience has become intoxicated by the wine of love. With the mere hint of love, the Sufi broke their restraint, and love spread its elaborate spread. The poet suggests that the mere glance of the beloved is enough to create a tumultuous chaos in the lover's life.

The heart of the Nectar of the Lily, intoxicated by the Wine of the Beloved,
As soon as a signal was given, the Sufi broke his restraint.

Wherever love has spread its mat,
It has made the fakirs heirs to paradise.
Wherever love has spread its mat, it has made the fakirs heirs to paradise.

These stars are old, and the sky itself is worn out, but where I desire them, let them be newly fashioned.

Who knows what a commotion, a frenzy, is,
Is it the sway of your glance, which is my wanderer?
Who knows what a commotion or frenzy is, is it the sway of your glance that is causing me to wander?

Do not snatch the pleasure of this dawn's sigh from me,
Nor let your glance ignore this affectionate grace.
Do not snatch the pleasure of this dawn's sigh from me, nor let your glance ignore this affectionate grace.

The season of blossoms is not suited to a grieving heart;
The call of the cuckoo in the garden is too intoxicated with joy.
The season of blossoms is not suited to a grieving heart; the call of the cuckoo in the garden is too intoxicated with joy.

You are a tune, a mere mimic of the world's fashion; you are a mere imitator of the era, and the era itself is the master musician.
You are a mere tune, a mimic of the world's fashion; you are merely an imitator of the era, and the era itself is the master musician.
