Ghazal
Hoti Hai Garche Kahne Se Yaaro Parai Baat
This ghazal speaks of the nature of unspoken feelings, suggesting that while some things are easily said, others remain hidden deep within the heart. The verses explore the difficulty of truly understanding another person's deepest emotions, even when they appear to be talking about something external. It is a reflection on the complexities of love, longing, and the secrets kept in the heart.

Though the topic might be something foreign, friends,
Even if the topic might be something foreign or said by others, never has anything like this come before us.

If I cannot make you aware of this appearance, you should make it from that; for even there, the hidden talk cannot remain concealed.
The poet says that if I cannot make you aware of this appearance, you should make it from that; for even there, the hidden talk cannot remain concealed.

Leaning against the wall of the garden, I stood still,
When your breeze initiated the conversation of speed.

Now we too have become familiar with your grace,
Since you spoke something, we have understood the matter.
Now we have also become accustomed to your grace, because you spoke something, we have understood the matter.

In the way the nightingale speaks, there are many styles of mine,
How long has it been hidden, what word has been flown away?
In the nightingale's song, I have many styles; I don't know when what words have flown away.

Seeing the night, he was burning with passion for me,
Perhaps some rival spoke a word to me.
Seeing the night, he was burning with passion for me; perhaps some rival spoke a word.

Whose realm is this dark house, where day and night,
And this noise, that gives no audible sound?
Whose dark world is this, where day and night pass, and this noise gives no audible sound?

One day you said that dignity lies in silence,
So don't tell me tales, I have already revealed my truth.
You once said that dignity resides in silence, so do not speak to me, as I have already revealed my truth.

Do not speak anything to this weak and sorrowful self,
For nothing that is raised up from me can depart.
Do not speak anything to this weak and sorrowful self, for nothing that is raised up from me can depart.

As 'Mir' wrote letters, his mind was in a state of flow,
Excessive yearning finally made his words overflow.
As 'Mir' wrote letters, his mind became in a flow. Excessive yearning finally caused his words to overflow.
