Be kind and summon me whenever you desire; I am not time gone by that I cannot return.
Whenever you wish, kindly call me back; I am not the past time that cannot return.

Why complain in my frail state of the rivals' mocking tone? Words are not a heavy head that I cannot bear to raise.
Why should I complain about the taunts of rivals in my state of weakness? Words are not like a heavy head that I cannot even lift or bear.

Poison is simply nowhere to be found, O cruel tormentor, or else / is an oath upon our meeting so impossible a thing that I could not even swallow it?
O cruel beloved, I simply cannot find poison, otherwise, is an oath of meeting you such an impossible thing that I could not even take it?
4
How could I have such restraint that I never even visit your door? / Inflict not such cruelty upon me that I can endure no more.
I do not have so much restraint that I could never even come to you. Do not inflict so much cruelty on me that I cannot even endure it.
5
What cause for dread is there if fire has consumed my house? It is not the flame of the heart, that I cannot even quench it.
What is there to worry about if the house has caught fire? It is not the flame of the heart that I would be unable to extinguish.
6
If you will not come, a hundred ways to die remain; Death is hardly like you, that I cannot even summon it.
If you do not come, there are a hundred ways to die; after all, death is not like you that I cannot even summon it.
7
Call me over with a smile, and every grievance of the heart will fade away; yet what an image of yours is this, that I cannot even efface?
If you call me with a smile, all the grievances of the heart will fade away; yet what kind of an image or thought of yours is this that I cannot even erase?
