Mehrbaan Ho Ke Bulaa Lo Mujhe Chaaho Jis Vaqt
The verses
मेहरबाँ हो के बुला लो मुझे चाहो जिस वक़्त मैं गया वक़्त नहीं हूँ कि फिर आ भी न सकूँ
Meaning: Be kind and summon me whenever you desire; I am not time gone by that I cannot return.
इस क़दर ज़ब्त कहाँ है कभी आ भी न सकूँ सितम इतना तो न कीजे कि उठा भी न सकूँ
Meaning: How could I have such restraint that I never even visit your door? / Inflict not such cruelty upon me that I can endure no more.
तुम न आओगे तो मरने की हैं सौ तदबीरें मौत कुछ तुम तो नहीं हो कि बुला भी न सकूँ
Meaning: If you will not come, a hundred ways to die remain; Death is hardly like you, that I cannot even summon it.
हँस के बुलवाइए मिट जाएगा सब दिल का गिला क्या तसव्वुर है तुम्हारा कि मिटा भी न सकूँ
Meaning: Call me over with a smile, and every grievance of the heart will fade away; yet what an image of yours is this, that I cannot even efface?
