ન આવ કલ્પના, ન વિચારો ન ખ્વાબમાં,
na aaw kalpana na wicharo na khwabman
The verses
ન આવ કલ્પના, ન વિચારો ન ખ્વાબમાં, તું પણ હવે ન જોઈએ તારા જવાબમાં.
Meaning: Come not in imagination, nor in thoughts, nor in dreams, Now I don't even desire you in your replies.
એવો ડરી ડરીને હું જન્નત તરફ ગયો, જાણે કે એની ભૂલ થઈ છે હિસાબમાં.
Meaning: So fearfully I went towards paradise, As if a mistake was made in its accounts.
જામી રહ્યો છે એમ અમારા પ્રણયનો રંગ, ધીમી ગતિ જે હોય છે ખીલતા ગુલાબમાં.
Meaning: Thus settles the hue of our love,With the slow pace found in a blooming rose.
માનવના તે ગુનાની સજા શું હશે ‘મરીઝ’, જેનું નથી બયાન ખુદાની કિતાબમાં.
