Ghazal
Yaaro Mujhe Muaaf Rakho Main Nashe Men Huun
This ghazal captures the poet's state of profound intoxication and emotional abandon, as he asks his companions to excuse his delirious state. It conveys a delicate balance of ecstasy, vulnerability, and surrender to an overwhelming trance.

Forgive me, dear friends, for I am intoxicated; if you must hand me a cup now, let it be empty, for I am drunk.
Friends, please excuse me because I am intoxicated; and if you must give me a cup now, give me an empty one, for I am already drunk.
2
Grant me too just a single sip as the cup goes round; fill not the goblet to the brim, for I am already intoxicated.
As the cup goes round, give me just a single sip as well; do not fill my wineglass to the brim, for I am already intoxicated.
3
Intoxication casts disorder through my speech; say what you will to me, for I am drunk.
There is disorder and confusion in my speech due to intoxication; you too may say whatever you like to me, for I am drunk.
4
Either bear me from hand to hand like a goblet of wine, or walk beside me for a little way—for I am intoxicated.
Either carry me from hand to hand like a cup of wine, or walk along with me for a short distance, because I am intoxicated.
5
Forgive me if my footsteps falter and wildly stray; do not turn away in anger, for I am intoxicated.
Please excuse me if my feet stumble awkwardly; do not be upset with me, for I am intoxicated.
6
The Friday prayer is not running away anywhere; wait just a moment, I too shall come—I am intoxicated.
Friday's prayer is not running away anywhere; wait just a moment, I too will come along, as I am intoxicated right now.
7
Your temper is so fragile, Mir-ji, touchy beyond measure; like a wine-glass, do not touch my lips, for I am drunk.
Mir-ji, you are exceedingly delicate and sensitive. Do not bring yourself to my lips like a glass of wine, for I am drunk.
