કન્યાને મોંજોણું કરતાં ગાવાનું ગીત

The verses

1. ચંપાંબા ચીત ચાહીને, નિરખો સાસર વેલ; લાયક વસંત લાવેલ, ઓઢો ચળકતી ચુંદડી;

   Meaning: Champamba, with loving heart, behold your marital vine;A worthy spring has dawned, don your shimmering chunari fine.

2. સોનૈયા સવા લાખનું, ગણતાં મૂલ ગણાય; એતો અનુમાન થાય, ઓઢો ચળકતી ચુંદડી;

   Meaning: A lakh and a quarter of gold, its worth can be told; Yet it's but a guess, when Odho's shining veil takes hold.

3. સુફળ મનોરથ સર્વદા, તારા થાજો તમામ; કરજો પરમારથ કામ, ઓઢો ચળકતી ચુંદડી;

   Meaning: May all your desires always bear fruit, and all your wishes come true; Perform deeds of highest charity, adorn yourself with a shining chunari.

4. ઉરથી આશિષ એટલી, દે છે દલપતરામ, પ્રભુને કરીને પ્રણામ, ઓઢો ચળકતી ચુંદડી.

   Meaning: Such is the blessing from his heart, gives Dalpatram,Bowing to the Lord, wear your gleaming 'chundadi'.
