ધીરે ધીરે સુધારાનો સાર

The verses

1. સજ્જન સંભળાવજોરે, ધીરે ધીરે સુધારાનો સાર; સજ્જન સ્નેહ સહિત સંભળાવો. ટેક.

   Meaning: O noble one, gently let us hear, the essence of reform's dear art;O noble one, with love, impart.

2. માંકડા લઈને માનવી, બેઠો નાવમાં દઈને નૂર; ભડકાવે તો તે અભાગિયાં, પડે કૂદી પાણીને પૂર. સજ્જનo

   Meaning: A man took monkeys, in his boat, granting them light; If startled, those unfortunates, plunge into the water's might.

3. સજ્જનને મન શુદ્ધ છે, પણ વિશ્વ વિરુદ્ધ વિચાર; બહુજનમાં નહિ બોલીએ, જેથી ઉપજે ઉપાધી અપાર. સજ્જનo

   Meaning: The noble mind is pure, though its thoughts the world defy; Speak not among the masses, lest countless troubles multiply.

4. સંસારીજનને સુધારશો, રૂડી રાખી એવી જો પ્રીત; દલપતરામના દેવની તમે પામશો પુરી પીત. સજ્જનo

   Meaning: If with such good love, you reform the worldly kind, The full grace of Dalpatram's God you will find. O virtuous one.
