फ़लसफ़ी को बहस के अंदर ख़ुदा मिलता नहीं डोर को सुलझा रहा है और सिरा मिलता नहीं
Meaning: The philosopher finds no God in argument and debate; he seeks to untangle the thread, but cannot find its end.
ग़ाफ़िलों के लुत्फ़ को काफ़ी है दुनियावी ख़ुशी आक़िलों को बे-ग़म-ए-उक़्बा मज़ा मिलता नहीं
Meaning: For the heedless, worldly joy is pleasure enough to know; yet the wise can find no relish without the hereafter's woe.
चाँदनी रातें बहार अपनी दिखाती हैं तो क्या बे तिरे मुझ को तो लुत्फ़ ऐ मह-लक़ा मिलता नहीं
Meaning: What does it matter if moonlit nights display their blooming grace? Without you, O moon-faced beloved, I find no joy in their embrace.
