Ghazal
This ghazal tenderly portrays the gradual blooming of love, likening the winning over of the beloved's heart to the patient ensnaring of a deer. It captures the lover's enduring devotion and eager surrender, which steadily kindles a mutual bond of affection over time.

Slowly, so slowly, the beloved's eyes were tamed and won over, just as wild deer wander into a snare, slowly, so slowly.
The beloved's eyes have slowly been won over and tamed, just as deer slowly walk into a snare.

My heart, just like a moth, was yearning to burn in the flame; bound to that candle at last, devotion slowly came.
My heart was eager to burn just like a moth, and at last, it gradually developed a deep devotion to that candle.

Rend not the collar of patience, O poor afflicted heart; that sweet-tongued beloved will surely heed your plea, slowly, by and by.
O poor and helpless heart, do not tear the collar of patience; that sweet-spoken beloved will gradually listen to your words.

If turmoil stirs the rose and nightingale within the garden, it is only fair, When that rose-limbed grace strolls through the bower, so softly and so slow.
It is completely justified if the peace of the rose and the nightingale is disrupted in the garden when that rose-bodied beloved strolls through it so slowly.

O Wali, deep within my chest, the cruel claw of love / Has torn the garment of the heart, slowly and by degrees.
O Wali, inside my chest, the claw of cruel love has slowly torn the garment of my heart to pieces.
