चक़माक़ जब पलक की झाड़ा है तूँ अदा सूँ

सज्दा बदल रखे सर सर-ता-क़दम अरक़ हो
तुझ बा-हया के पग पर आ कर हिना हया सूँ
Bowing low in deep prostration, drenched in sweat from head to toe, henna melts in sheer bashfulness upon your modest feet.

याँ दर्द है परम का बेहूदा सर कहे मत
ये बात सुन 'वली' की जा कर कहो दवा सूँ
Here lies the agony of ultimate love, speak no senseless remedy; Listen to this word of Wali, and go tell it to the cure itself.
