Ghazal

बग़ैर दिल कि ये क़ीमत है सारे आलम की

Mir Taqi Mir· Ghazal· 7 shers

The ghazal asserts that the value of a heart surpasses the worth of the entire world. The speaker notes that the charm of the beloved's mischief is beyond anyone's ability to manage. He seeks guidance from his beloved regarding the complexities of worldly pleasures and sorrow. Finally, he pleads with the beloved to keep him away from the pain of the garden, as he is not meant for the rituals of mourning.
