Din Nahin Raat Nahin Subah Nahin Shaam Nahin
दिन नहीं रात नहीं सुब्ह नहीं शाम नहीं

वक़्त मिलने का मगर दाख़िल-ए-अय्याम नहीं
Neither day nor night, nor morning, nor evening,
But the time to meet, is not within the days.

बे-क़रारी जो कोई देखे है सो कहता है
कुछ तो है 'मीर' कि इक दम तुझे आराम नहीं
Whoever beholds the restless spirit, he says,
'There is something, Meer, that gives you no rest.'
Whoever sees the restlessness, he says that 'Meer' possesses something that grants him no peace.
