1
Who am I? I am a self-inflamed soul,
A fire in my heart, a blaze that will unfold.
Who am I? I am a self-inflamed soul. There is a fire in my heart, a blaze that will unfold.
2
I have brought my passion out from behind the veil;
Otherwise, I remain in the hidden chamber of secrets.
My passion has brought me out from behind the veil; otherwise, I remain in the hidden chamber of secrets.
3
There is a splendor in me, upon the lips of the ocean of poetry,
My wave is of a hundred colors, for I am the ever-flowing current.
There is a splendor in me that shines upon the lips of the ocean of poetry. My wave is of a hundred colors, for I am the ever-flowing current.
4
My paw is the paw of the sun in every morning,
I am the splendid shadow of your face, O hair of the forest.
My paw is like the paw of the sun every morning, and I am the splendid shadow of your face, O hair of the forest.
5
Those who have seen me, they know how mad I am,
I am a devotee of the intoxication of the world's love.
Those who have seen me know how mad I am; I am a devotee of the intoxication of worldly love.
6
Do not torment me with the mere movement of the lips; I am a treasure of sweet words, hidden beneath my tongue.
Do not torment me with the mere movement of the lips; I am a treasure of sweet words, hidden beneath my tongue.
7
I am a leaf of autumn in that garden of autumn, from the yellow sorrow of the fresh meadow.
I am a leaf of autumn in that garden of autumn, derived from the yellow sorrow of the fresh meadow.
8
My heart only desires that you remain undisturbed, for God knows where I am in this moment.
My heart only desires that you remain undisturbed, for God knows where I am in this moment.
9
Not just a delusion, but my very existence, oh, I am burdened by your delicate favor.
It is not merely an illusion, but my entire existence; I am also weighed down by your delicate favor.
10
Fragrant, lively, and sacred were the states I was in, O Mir,
But circumstances have fallen such that I have been here for many days.
The poet says that I was previously in a state of joy, liveliness, and sanctity, but circumstances have fallen such that I have been stuck here for many days.
