Ghazal

Ye Tark Ho Ke Khushin Kaj Agar Kulah Karein

ये तर्क हो के ख़शिन कज अगर कुलाह करें

Mir Taqi Mir· Ghazal· 9 shers

This ghazal suggests that if the mind is made agitated by argument or logic, the eyes can be stained by the passion of love. It emphasizes the need for some reciprocity in affection, as maintaining it solely from one's side is unsustainable. Furthermore, it suggests that if one gains knowledge of the beloved, the speaker will also become intensely devoted, bowing down at every step.
