શબ્દની આરપાર જીવ્યો છું,
હું બહુ ધારદાર જીવ્યો છું.
I have lived right through words,I have lived very sharply.
I have lived through and beyond words. My life has been experienced with great sharpness and intensity.

સામે પૂરે ધરાર જીવ્યો છું,
વિષ મહીં નિર્વિકાર જીવ્યો છું.
Against the strong current, I have lived defiantly,In poison, I have lived completely unperturbed.

ખૂબ અંદર બહાર જીવ્યો છું,
ઘૂંટે ઘૂંટે ચિકાર જીવ્યો છું.
I have lived extensively, both within and without,I have lived to the fullest, gulp by gulp.

મધ્યમાં જીવવું જ ના ફાવ્યું,
હું સદા બારોબાર જીવ્યો છું.
To live within the mainstream, it never pleased,I have always lived life on my own terms.

મંદ ક્યારેય થઈ ન મારી ગતિ,
આમ બસ મારમાર જીવ્યો છું.
My pace never did become slow,Thus I simply lived, taking blow after blow.

આભની જેમ વિસ્તર્યો છું સતત,
અબ્ધિ પેઠે અપાર જીવ્યો છું.
Like the sky, I have continuously spread, Like an ocean, I have lived boundlessly.

બાગ તો બાગ સૂર્યની પેઠે,
આગમાં પૂર બહાર જીવ્યો છું.
A garden, yes, but like the sun,I've lived in full bloom amidst the flames.
I have lived like a garden, shining like the sun. Even amidst flames, I have experienced life in full bloom.

હું ય વરસ્યો છું ખૂબ જીવનમાં,
હું ય બહુ ધોધમાર જીવ્યો છું.
I too have rained profusely in life,
I too have lived a torrential life.
