যদি তারে নাই চিনি গো, সে কি আমায় নেবে চিনে?
পারব কি গো ডাকতে তারে 'আমার' বলে মনে মনে?
If I do not recognize them, will they recognize me? Will I be able to call them 'mine' silently in my heart?

আলো হাতে চলিয়াছে আঁধারের যাত্রী,
আমি শুধু তার পথ চেয়ে থাকি॥
A traveler of darkness walks with light in hand, and I merely await their path.

জানি না, জানি না কবে পাব দেখা,
এই প্রতীক্ষায় কাটে আমার দিন একা একা॥
I don't know, I don't know when I will meet. My days pass alone in this wait.
