Ghazal
पत्ता पत्ता बूटा बूटा हाल हमारा जाने है
This ghazal expresses the deep feelings of separation and longing (virah). The poet describes the state of his heart, questioning if anyone else can truly know his condition, as neither the flowers nor the entire garden can grasp it. It speaks to the complexity and uncertainty of love.

Every leaf, every bud, our condition is known;
But whether it is known or not, the garden knows everything.
Every leaf and every bud knows our condition. But whether it is known or not, the entire garden knows everything.
