ताक़त नहीं है जी में नय अब जिगर रहा है

Mir Taqi Mir· Ghazal· 5 shers

The poem conveys a sense of profound exhaustion and despair, stating that the poet has no strength left in his heart. He speaks of his heart enduring unjust suffering and his enemy immersing him in blood through his careless actions. The final lines suggest a dramatic, climactic moment, as a friend has asked him to spend the night, but the chaos of the apocalypse is imminent at dawn.
