— Mir Taqi Mir
Meaning
The lines suggest that the strength of love is so immense that it can overcome any obstacle, like the veil or the mountain.
Explanation
This beautiful couplet speaks to the ultimate power of love. The 'curtain' (parda) often symbolizes separation, mystery, or barriers in life. Mir Taqi Mir asks: what physical barrier, no matter how high or strong, can truly contain the force of deep love? The answer is that love itself is a force that transcends all boundaries, piercing through every veil and limitation.
