Ghazal
Ye Hai Mai-kada Yahan Rind Hain Yahan Sab Ka Saaqi Imaam Hai
This ghazal employs the mystical metaphor of the tavern to contrast genuine divine love with rigid orthodoxy and ostentatious piety. It underscores that true spiritual enlightenment requires immense humility and capacity, leaving no room for narrow-minded judgment.

This is the tavern, home to revelers, where the cupbearer leads as the priest; This is no holy shrine, O Sheikh, here piety itself is strictly forbidden.
This is a tavern inhabited by drinkers where the cupbearer is everyone's leader; O Sheikh, this is not a holy sanctuary, here observing piety is forbidden.
2
Turn out from the tavern whoever stumbles at a single sip; the narrow-minded have no admittance here, this is a gathering for souls of true capacity.
Throw anyone who loses control after drinking just a little out of the tavern, because the narrow-minded have no place here; this space is only meant for people of true capacity and tolerance.
3
Some are drunk, some parched with thirst, while some hold a goblet in hand; yet what can anyone do about this, for such is the rule of the tavern's land.
Someone is intoxicated, someone remains thirsty, while someone holds a cup in hand; yet what can anyone do about this, as this is simply the order of the tavern.
4
How strange is the venerable Sheikh’s decree, unmatched in all the land: drink it there, and it is lawful; drink it here, and it is banned.
Sheikh Sahib's philosophy is the strangest in the entire world; if you drink (wine) there (in paradise) it is lawful, but if you drink it here (in this world) it is forbidden.
5
In this very universe, O Jigar, a revolution will rise once more; for even after rising so high, man remains a slave to his desires.
O Jigar, another revolution will rise again in this universe, because despite attaining great heights, man is still a slave to his desires.
