मोहब्बत चाहिए बाहम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो ख़ुशी हो इस में या हो ग़म हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
Love must be mutual between us, felt by me as much as you; be it joy that it brings or sorrow, shared by me as much as you.
Love ought to be mutual and felt by both of us equally; whether it brings happiness or sorrow, it should be shared by both alike.

ग़नीमत तुम इसे समझो कि इस ख़ुम-ख़ाने में यारो नसीब इक-दम दिल-ए-ख़ुर्रम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
Count it a blessing, dear friends, that in this tavern of the world, if even for a fleeting breath, a joyful heart is granted to us and to you.
Friends, consider it a great blessing if in this tavern, even for a single moment, a cheerful and happy heart is granted to us as well as to you.

दिलाओ हज़रत-ए-दिल तुम न याद-ए-ख़त-ए-सब्ज़ उस का कहीं ऐसा न हो ये सम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
Remind me not, O noble heart, of the verdant down upon that cheek; lest this very poison prove fatal to us both—to me, as well as you.
O my heart, do not remind me of the youthful down on the beloved's cheek, lest this very poison proves fatal to both you and me.

हमेशा चाहता है दिल कि मिल कर कीजे मय-नोशी मयस्सर जाम-ए-मय-ए-जम-जम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
Forever does the heart desire that we drink wine side by side; may the goblet of Zamzam's wine be granted to you and me alike.
The heart always desires that we drink wine together, and that the cup of wine be continuously and abundantly available to both you and me.

हम अपना इश्क़ चमकाएँ तुम अपना हुस्न चमकाओ कि हैराँ देख कर आलम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
Let me make my passion blaze, and you your beauty shine, so that the world, in wonder lost, marvels at you and me.
Let me display my love and you radiate your beauty, so that seeing us, the entire world is left astonished by both of us.

रहे हिर्स-ओ-हवा दाइम अज़ीज़ो साथ जब अपने न क्यूँकर फ़िक्र-ए-बेश-ओ-कम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
When greed and craving remain forever at our side, dear friends, why wouldn't thoughts of more and less trouble us both alike?
Dear friends, when greed and worldly desire remain forever with us, why wouldn't both of us be anxious about having more or less?

'ज़फ़र' से कहता है मजनूँ कहीं दर्द-ए-दिल महज़ूँ जो ग़म से फ़ुर्सत अब इक दम हमें भी हो तुम्हें भी हो
To Zafar, Majnun says: let us somewhere share our sad heart’s grief, / If from sorrow, for a single breath, we both could find relief.
Majnun tells Zafar that we should share the pain of our sorrowful hearts somewhere, provided that both of us can get relief from our grief even for a single moment.
