In Urdu poetry, 'paanv' denotes the physical feet as well as footsteps or movement. In this couplet by Ghalib, it appears twice: first in the idiom 'paanv parna' (to fall at one's feet in reverence or devotion to Farhad/Kohkan), and second referring to the cursed feet of the deceitful old woman who brought the false news of Shirin's death.
