Detailed Meaning
In Urdu poetics, 'taqdeer' denotes divine decree or fate, which is frequently portrayed as unkind or contrary to the lover's desires. In this couplet by Ghalib, it signifies the lover's persistent misfortune and deprivation from the beloved's grace. Visiting the beloved's enchanting gathering merely reminds the speaker of this ill-fated condition, moving him to tears.
