In classical Urdu poetry, 'ताके है' is an archaic imperfective verb form equivalent to modern 'ताकता है' or 'ताकती है' (gazes at / eyes). In this couplet, it describes the lover's captive gaze intently pursuing and drinking in the youthful, wine-flushed countenance of the beloved.
