In Ghalib's couplet, it appears in an izafat construction ('zariya-e-rahat'), denoting a means or source of relief and solace. The poet asserts that the narrow puncture of an arrowhead cannot serve as a true means to comfort the restless heart, unlike the wide gash of a sword.
