Word Meaning
ख़ोशे
khōshe
Meaning
Ear of grain or cluster, here in oblique form.
Detailed Meaning
In classical Urdu and Persian poetry, 'khosha' denotes an ear of wheat or a cluster of fruit, traditionally paired with 'barq' (lightning) which strikes and consumes the harvest. In this couplet, it represents the vulnerable ear of grain; the poet taunts the lightning not to boast of consuming such fragile quarry, since the lover's own burning heart would easily outshine it.
Etymology
Persian (خوشه / khōsheh), denoting an ear of corn, spike of grain, or bunch of fruit.
Usage
In the ghazal tradition, 'khosha' and 'kharman' (harvest) are conventional emblems of vulnerability, perpetually threatened by the celestial lightning of fate or divine glory.
Examples

to burn like the fragile khosha
