સનમની શોધ

The verses

1. પેદા થયો છું ઢુંઢવા તુંને, સનમ! ઉમ્મર ગુઝારી ઢુંઢતાં તુંને સનમ!

   Meaning: I was born to find you, my beloved!My life I spent searching for you, my beloved!

2. કાંઈ નઝરબક્ષી થવી લાઝિમ તને, ગુઝરાનનો ટુકડો ઘટે દેવો, સનમ!

   Meaning: Some favor it is proper for you to grant,A piece for sustenance you ought to give, beloved!

3. શાને કસે છે મુફત આ લાચારને? દાવો સુનાનો છે હમારો ના, સનમ!

   Meaning: Why do you needlessly torment this helpless soul?Our claim is not of gold, O beloved!

4. પથ્થર બની પેદા થયો છું પહાડમાં, છું ચાહનારો એ ય તુંથી છું, સનમ!

   Meaning: A stone I was born, within the mountain's embrace, This very love I hold, beloved, springs from your grace!
