कबीरा गरब न कीजिए , कबहूँ न हँसिये कोय। अजहूँ नाव समुद्र में , ना जाने का होय॥
The verses
कबीरा गरब न कीजिए , कबहूँ न हँसिये कोय। अजहूँ नाव समुद्र में , ना जाने का होय॥
Meaning: Kabiira, do not grieve, nor laugh at anyone. In this boat (of life) on the ocean, who knows what may happen.
कबीरा कलह अरु कल्पना , सतसंगति से जाय। दुख बासे भागा फिरै , सुख में रहै समाय॥
Meaning: Kabiira, strife and fancy, are eliminated by true company. Sorrow wanders, fleeing always, while happiness resides within.
कबीरा संगति साधु की , जित प्रीत कीजै जाय। दुर्गति दूर वहावति , देवी सुमति बनाय॥
Meaning: With Kabir, the company of sages, how can love be achieved? Danger departs from there, and Goddess bestows good intellect.
कबीरा संगत साधु की , निष्फल कभी न होय। होमी चन्दन बासना , नीम न कहसी कोय॥
Meaning: The company of saints, Kabir, is never in vain; the fragrance of sandalwood will never be denied.
को छूटौ इहिं जाल परि , कत फुरंग अकुलाय। ज्यों-ज्यों सुरझि भजौ चहै , त्यों-त्यों उरझत जाय॥
Meaning: How can I escape this net of yours, O foreign one? As much as I desire to worship you, so much you withdraw.
