छाती जला करे है सोज़-ए-दरूँ बला है इक आग सी रहे है क्या जानिए कि क्या है
Meaning: This burning sorrow, the pain within the chest, Is like a fire; who knows what it truly is.
मुशफ़िक़ मलाज़ ओ क़िबला काबा ख़ुदा पयम्बर जिस ख़त में शौक़ से मैं क्या क्या उसे लिखा है
Meaning: Mushfiq Malaz, O Qibla Kaaba, God and Prophet, In the letter, what all desires have I written to him.
है गरचे तिफ़्ल-ए-मकतब वो शोख़ अभी तो लेकिन जिस से मिला है उस का उस्ताद हो मिला है
