અખાજ્ઞાની ભયથી કે મ ડરે જેની અનુભવ પાંખ આકાશે ફરે.
Meaning: Why should the wise Akha ever fear? Whose wing of experience soars through the sky.
ઘેંસ ન થાય ન થાય ઘાણી કહે અખો એ વાતો જાણી.
Meaning: No grinding will take place, no oil-press will turn, Akhil says, knowing these matters.
આંધળો સસરો ને સણગટ(ઘુંઘટમાં) વહુ એમ કથા સુણવા ચાલ્યું સહુ ;
Meaning: A blind father-in-law, a daughter-in-law veiled,Thus to hear the story, everyone trailed.
કહ્યું કાંઇને સમજ્યાં કશું આંખ્યનું કાજળ ગાલે ઘશ્યું;
Meaning: One thing was said, another understood,The eye's kohl smudged upon the cheek instead.
