મુક્તિ બંધ પૂછે મતિમંદ

The verses

1. મુક્તિ બંધ પૂછે મતિમંદ શોધી જોતાં સ્વે ગોવિંદ;

   Meaning: The foolish mind asks of freedom and of chains,When searched within, Govind there remains.

2. બંધ મોક્ષ ન કરે ઉચ્ચાર આકાશકુ સુમનો નોહે હાર.

   Meaning: Of bondage, of freedom, he does not speak,Nor sky-borne flowers, a garland make.

3. સકળ ઇંદ્રિપેં છૂટો રમે રાગદ્વેષ કોઇએ નવ દમે;

   Meaning: He roams free among all senses; Attachment and aversion bind him not.

4. સત્ય સંકલ્પ ને અમ્મર કાય સર્વ રૂપ જાણે મહિમાય;

   Meaning: With true resolve and an imperishable form, one understands the glory in all forms.
