Who Is So Generous in This World
This devotional poem celebrates the boundless generosity and grace of Lord Rama, who bestows his compassion upon the humble without demanding servitude. It emphasizes that the supreme liberation, which great sages struggle to achieve through rigorous penance, is effortlessly granted by Rama to devoted and simple souls like Jatayu and Shabari.

ऐसो को उदार जग माहीं ?
बिनु सेवा जो द्रवै दीन पर राम सरिस कोउ नाहीं ॥
Who in all this world is so bountiful of heart? Who melts for the wretched without any service sought—there is none like Rama.
Who in this world is so generous? There is no one like Rama, who shows compassion to the humble and helpless without demanding any service.

जो गति जोग बिराग जतन करि नहिं पावत मुनि ज्ञानी ।
सो गति देत गीध सबरी कहँ प्रभु न बहुत जिय जानी ॥
The supreme state that wise ascetics fail to attain through ardent yoga and renunciation, that very salvation the Lord bestowed upon the vulture and Shabari, without giving it a second thought.
The ultimate state of liberation that wise sages fail to attain even through rigorous yoga and renunciation, the Lord effortlessly bestowed upon the vulture (Jatayu) and Shabari without giving it a second thought.

जो संपति दससीस अरपि करि रावन सिव पहँ लीन्हीं ।
सो संपदा बिभीषन कहँ अति सकुच सहित हरि दीन्हीं ॥
The very fortune Ravana attained from Shiva by offering his ten heads, Lord Hari bestowed upon Vibhishana with utmost humility, as though it were far too meager a gift.
The immense wealth and kingdom that Ravana attained from Lord Shiva by sacrificing his ten heads, Lord Rama gifted to Vibhishana with great modesty, feeling it was too small a gift.

तुलसिदास सब भाँति सकल सुख जो चाहसि मन मेरो ।
तौ भजु राम, काज सब पूरन करैं कृपानिधि तेरो ॥
O my heart, if in every way complete bliss is what you yearn to know, then adore Rama, for the ocean of grace shall fulfill every task you sow.
Tulsidas says that O my mind, if you desire complete happiness in every possible way, then worship Lord Rama, for that ocean of mercy will fulfill all your tasks.
