Why should I be so restless and agitated for you? If I could find the sapphire of your lips, I would be composed.

This beautiful couplet captures the quintessential dilemma of the lover. The poet questions the reason for his own restlessness and turmoil, realizing that his agitation has no purpose on its own. He finds the solution, however, in the beloved's lips, comparing them to sapphires (yaquuti). He suggests that merely having the proximity or essence of those lips would be enough to restore his composure and peace.
