Mir Taqi Mir suggests that if the beloved's grace (karam) were not bestowed upon the lover without even being asked, the lover's existence would lose all meaning. The poet dramatically compares the pain of absence to the Day of Judgment (Haqq). It signifies a love so complete that the passing of time, even the end of time, is bearable only because of the continuous presence and favor of the beloved.
