Jake Jivya Bandhan Nahin — Kabir
जाके जिव्या बन्धन नहीं , ह्र्दय में नहीं साँच। वाके संग न लागिये , खाले वटिया काँच॥
— Kabir
Meaning
Do not attach yourself to one whose life is not bound by principles and whose heart holds no truth. Do not associate with them, for they are like broken glass.
Explanation
Kabir uses the powerful metaphor of broken glass here. He is warning us to avoid people whose lives are unstable and whose hearts lack truth. These relationships are dangerous because they cut deep, much like shards of glass. His message is a profound reminder to value sincerity and guard your emotional peace above all else.
