Ghazal
This ghazal explores the inherent tension between opposing forces, such as delicacy and density, and the futility of resistance against overwhelming power, like a river's surge against the shore. It delves into themes of intoxicating love, where vigilance fades, and the melancholic beauty of spring, which often brings forth tears and pain. Ultimately, it expresses a profound sense of humility and helplessness in confronting life's profound difficulties and desires.

Purity cannot display its grace without some worldly stain,The garden is the verdigris upon the spring breeze's mirrored pane.
Delicacy cannot manifest its beauty without some coarseness. The garden is the verdigris on the mirror of the spring breeze.

The shore's self-esteem cannot contend with the river's surge;Where you are the cup-bearer, all claims of prudence are in vain.

The blood-like hue of spring's blossoms is the cause of my tears,And lightning's frenzy, a lancet, to the spring cloud's vein appears.
The blood-like hue of spring's flowers is the reason for shedding tears, and the frenzy of lightning is like a lancet to the vein of the spring cloud.

I am fallen helpless with longing to solve my difficulty, A pact of humility is tied to the knot of my heart.

When the head is bowed, imagination becomes a land of waiting, The gaze, with its blisters, is occupied with counting stars.
When the head is bowed, imagination becomes a land of waiting. The gaze, as if blistered, is occupied with counting stars.

'Asad', let fate's turning pour you acceptance's wine, To lament ill-fortune, for the wise, is a shameful sign.
Asad, accept the turns of fate with submission, for complaining about ill-fortune is a disgrace to the understanding of the wise.
