Ghazal
लाज़िम था कि देखो मिरा रस्ता कोई दिन और
This ghazal expresses the profound longing of a lover for their beloved to stay longer, lamenting their departure and the loneliness it brings. The poet depicts their unwavering devotion, even to the point of wearing out their forehead at the beloved's door, while ironically questioning promises of reunion on a distant 'Judgment Day'. It's a poignant plea for presence against the backdrop of an indifferent beloved.
