1. ન આવ કલ્પના, ન વિચારો ન ખ્વાબમાં, તું પણ હવે ન જોઈએ તારા જવાબમાં.

   معنی: Come not in imagination, nor in thoughts, nor in dreams, Now I don't even desire you in your replies.

2. એવો ડરી ડરીને હું જન્નત તરફ ગયો, જાણે કે એની ભૂલ થઈ છે હિસાબમાં.

   معنی: So fearfully I went towards paradise, As if a mistake was made in its accounts.

3. જામી રહ્યો છે એમ અમારા પ્રણયનો રંગ, ધીમી ગતિ જે હોય છે ખીલતા ગુલાબમાં.

   معنی: Thus settles the hue of our love,With the slow pace found in a blooming rose.

4. માનવના તે ગુનાની સજા શું હશે ‘મરીઝ’, જેનું નથી બયાન ખુદાની કિતાબમાં.

   معنی: What punishment will there be, 'Mariz', for that sin of man,Whose description is not even in God's book?
