آیا یاں سے جانا ہی تو، دل کا چھپانا کیا حاصل؟ آج گیا یا کل جائے گا؛ صبح گئی یا شام گئی۔
تشریح
यह शेर वक़्त की बेपरवाह रफ़्तार का एहसास कराता है। मीर कहते हैं कि दिल की बात को छुपाने की कोई कोशिश बेकार है, क्योंकि वक़्त तो हर पल गुज़र रहा है।
