I am not sure whether I should call his face the essence of life;
Or life of the entire universe;
The truth is that it is (like) the glory of God,
From which all other (worldly) glories originated,

معنی
میں یہ یقین نہیں کر پا رہا کہ میں ان کے چہرے کو زندگی کا جوہر کہوں; یا پورے کائنات کی زندگی کہوں؛ سچ یہ ہے کہ یہ (جیسے) خدا کی شان ہے، جس سے تمام دیگر (دنیاوی) شانیں پیدا ہوئیں۔
تشریح
Bulleh Shah ishq-e-haqiqi ka izhar karte hue poochhte hain ke yeh noor sirf zindagi ka nuskha hai, ya poori kaainaat ka asool. Woh kehte hain ke asal mein yeh Khuda ki zaat ki chamak hai, jahan se har cheez ka wajood paida hua hai.
