My heart's restless wanderings are renowned,
Like the lamps of the night, they go to the nowhere-found.
My heart's restless wandering moments are renowned, going to nowhere like the lamps of the night.

On your face, there is a scratch like a nail's wound; now my handicrafts are visible.
On your face, there is a scratch like a nail's wound; now my handicrafts are visible.

Though we spoke a hundred times of the garden's bloom, amidst the garden's heart, what little trenches have been made with the water of the spring through the nights?
Despite speaking a hundred times about the garden's flowers, what little trenches have been made with the spring water in the heart of the garden over the nights?

Upon the corpse-like body, dust-covered, of the wrestler,
There are veins of blood, flowing with pleasure, not empty.

Who knew that days like these would arrive, the chill; / Our nights are all spent weeping, it is true.
The poet did not know that days like these would arrive, when nights are spent weeping.

The rose has adorned its head with a thousand colors of poetry,
Yet your dear talks never left my heart, my beloved.
Elaborately, the rose adorned its head with a thousand colors of poetry. Yet, your dear talks never left my heart, my beloved.

You will forget the covenant of Farhad and Qais, if we reach the streams of broken hearts.
You will forget the covenant of Farhad and Qais if we reach the streams of broken hearts.

If only one night had passed, O Mir,
If only one night had passed, O Mir, and Kohakan had spent many heavy nights.
