1. फ़लसफ़ी को बहस के अंदर ख़ुदा मिलता नहीं डोर को सुलझा रहा है और सिरा मिलता नहीं

   معنی: The philosopher finds no God in argument and debate; he seeks to untangle the thread, but cannot find its end.

2. ग़ाफ़िलों के लुत्फ़ को काफ़ी है दुनियावी ख़ुशी आक़िलों को बे-ग़म-ए-उक़्बा मज़ा मिलता नहीं

   معنی: For the heedless, worldly joy is pleasure enough to know; yet the wise can find no relish without the hereafter's woe.

3. चाँदनी रातें बहार अपनी दिखाती हैं तो क्या बे तिरे मुझ को तो लुत्फ़ ऐ मह-लक़ा मिलता नहीं

   معنی: What does it matter if moonlit nights display their blooming grace? Without you, O moon-faced beloved, I find no joy in their embrace.

4. मा'नी-ए-दिल का करे इज़हार 'अकबर' किस तरह लफ़्ज़ मौज़ूँ बहर-ए-कश्फ़-ए-मुद्दआ मिलता नहीं

   معنی: How can Akbar give voice to the unspoken meanings of the heart, when no fitting word is found to unveil the soul's desire?
