1. ભુલાતી પ્રેમમસ્તીની કહાની લઈને આવ્યો છું, કલાપી, બાલની અંતિમ નિશાની લઈને આવ્યો છું.

   معنی: I have come, bringing the story of love's forgotten ecstasy,Kalapi, I have come, bearing the final sign of Bal.

2. નથી સંતાપ તો ખૂબી નથી એકેય મારામાં, મને સંતોષ છે હું ખાનદાની લઈને આવ્યો છું.

   معنی: If there's no sorrow, then no quality is in me, I am content that I have brought nobility with me.

3. મને ડર છે કહીં બરબાદ ના જીવન કરી નાખે, કે હુંયે હાથમાં રેખા કલાની લઈને આવ્યો છું.

   معنی: I fear lest it should ruin my life,For I too have come with lines of art in my hand.

4. સિતારા સાંભળે છે શાન્તચિત્તે રાતભર ‘ઘાયલ’, ઉદાસ આંખો મહીં એવી કહાની લઈને આવ્યો છું.

   معنی: The stars listen with calm hearts all night, 'Ghayal', Such a story I've brought in these sad eyes.
