میرے خاک و خون سے تو نے یہ جہاں کیا ہے پیدا، سِلاے شاہد کیا ہے تب و تابِ جاودانہ۔

शायर कहते हैं कि इस जहान को तक़रीबन मेरे ख़ाक और ख़ूँ से वजूद मिला है। तो ये गवाह होने का रिश्ता क्या है... जब तुलना 'जावेदाना' की अमर चमक से की जाए।
