معنی
بُلبُل اور طاوُس کی تقلید سے توبہ کرو؛ بلبل صرف آواز ہے اور طاوُس صرف رنگ۔
تشریح
ये शेर दिखावटी नक़ल पर एक गहरा तंज़ है। शायर कहते हैं कि महज़ बुलबुल की आवाज़ या तौस के रंग की तक़लीद से तौबा नहीं होती। असलियत तो दिल और रूह में होती है, महज़ दिखावे में नहीं।
