ફરિયાદ શાની છે?

1. અરેરે! ઊડતું ખંજર દિલે ઝૂંટી હલાવ્યું. મેં, ઊપડતો હાથ શો ત્યારે? હવે ફરિયાદ શાની છે?

   अर्थ: Alas! The flying dagger, I snatched and shook within my heart!What hand could then be raised? What reason for complaint is there now?

2. કરે છે શોર એ ભૂકી, “મને માશૂક માની લે!” સુણે ના કોઈએ તેને, પછી ફરિયાદ શાની છે?

   अर्थ: The soil makes a clamor, "Consider me your beloved!" But no one hears it, so what is there to complain about?

3. હજુ ફરિયાદ જારી છે, જિગરમાં મેં વધારી તે, ખુશીથી આગ હું સેવું, પછી ફરિયાદ શાની છે?

   अर्थ: The complaint still persists, I nurtured it within my heart,I gladly tend this fire, so what is there to complain about?

4. ખુદાના તખ્તની પાસે જિગરની આહ પહોંચાડું, મગર છે ગેબ ઝાલિમ એ, જિગર! ફરિયાદ શાની છે?

   अर्थ: I'd reach the throne of God with my heart's deep sigh,But fate is cruel, my heart! What's the point of this cry?
